In the 16th century, when asked by King Charles IX to provide better care for poor people, Ambroise Paré, the father of modern surgery, replied “it is impossible, Sire, as I care for the poor as if they were kings”. This is our motto. Health is not a meaningless word, it is the first thing that we wish our loved ones every new year. Excellent care, empathy and the quality of care provided to our patients are our daily priorities. Caring for our patients is our primary concern. This care must be above reproach and provided with humanity.
In the early 70s, the gynecologist Dr. André Attia created the Groupe Hexagone. The group developed by incorporating facilities whose size and location enabled the group to accommodate an increasing level of activity by offering high-level technology platforms and emergency services. It acquired the Ambroise Paré Clinic in 1984 and the Pierre Cherest Clinic one year later. In 1993, André Attia decided to combine the clinics’ management teams into a single group: Hexagone Hospitalisation. The Ambroise Paré and Pierre Cherest Clinics, situated in Neuilly-sur-Seine, together form the SAS (Société par Action Simplifiée) de Gérance, under the name Ambroise Paré – Cherest. In 2009, the Hartmann Clinic, also situated in Neuilly-sur-Seine, joined the group.
Today, the Ambroise Paré, Pierre Cherest and Hartmann Clinics’ activities are divided between three nearby sites. Located only steps from Porte Maillot and the Palais des Congrès de Paris, the facilities welcome close to 50,000 patients on an inpatient and outpatient basis each year.
